![]() ![]() Since DK is a new class, we expect most people trying it out on Day 1, so you might see more DK decks than decks for other classes. New class is a big deal in Hearthstone, and assuming that it will be viable (it looks like it will from the early playtesting), it will shake up the meta in a major way. That’s because we’re getting a brand new playable class – Death Knight. While it doesn’t come with any rotation, it’s the biggest release in the history of post-launch Hearthstone, with 203 new cards added to the game at the same time. March of the Lich King is the third expansion of the Year of the Hydra (2022). So if you want something to base your early crafting decisions on, that would be your best choice (it’s still not a guarantee that those decks will remain viable, but it’s better than nothing). We also generally have compilations of best-performing decks in separate posts – one after ~24 hours and the second one a couple days later. This post will be constantly updated over the early expansion period (roughly the first 5-6 days). We’ll try to add decks for all 11 classes, but it’s hard to say whether every single class will be viable. Welcome to the March of the Lich King decks roundup – in this post, we will feature the best-performing early meta builds from pro players & streamers. You can check them out in our latest decks categories – Standard & Wild Of course, I’ll keep posting new March of the Lich King decks daily. Sorry for adding fewer decks than usual, but I generally rely on people sharing them on social media in the first place and it’s been a little bit dry this expansion. Removed theorycraftings from the post.Update: It’s been a week since the expansion’s release, so it’s about time to stop updating this post. Spending Dust on hyped Legendaries on Day 1 is a very common mistake, and can leave you without the means to craft the actual meta Legendaries after everything settles. If you are a budget player, we recommend holding off for at least a few days (and preferably a week) before committing to crafting anything. This has happened multiple times in the past, and most likely will happen to at least one or two decks this expansion too. A deck can be popular one day and then turn out to be really bad. If this isn’t your first expansion then this is obvious, but be very wary of decks early in the expansion. After the first few days, we start posting less, as meta forms, decks become more refined and it’s getting clear which builds are good and which aren’t. During the first couple of days, we aren’t very picky – there are no deck statistics so early, so we can’t sift through the bad decks. Once the expansion launches, we will be feverishly posting new decks for the first few days. Anyway, just like during every expansion’s launch, things will look interesting over the next few days! If you weren’t with us during the reveal season, you can learn more about the expansion and see all the new cards in our Fractured in Alterac Valley expansion guide. They might prevent the meta from slowing down (especially Warlock’s one, since you’re on a very real clock against them) and I hope that if they keep dominating, Team 5 will step in and nerf them quickly. The only concern I and many players have is how the current Questlines will impact the game. Those look really powerful and I would be very surprised if they didn’t shake up the meta. We’re also getting a total of 10 new Hero cards, for the first time in a while. New Honorable Kill mechanic doesn’t look over the top, but it might turn out to be a good example of “not exciting, but strong” kind of mechanic. ![]() While it doesn’t come with any rotation, we’re still getting 135 new cards to shake up the meta, lots of them looking very promising. We will be keeping this post updated throughout the beginning of the new expansion (roughly the first 4-5 days).įractured in Alterac Valley is the third expansion of the Year of the Gryphon (2021).
